We had Bobo--ad then in Tacoma at the B&I store there was Ivan the gorilla. It seemed cruel to cage him in the display case. Ivan got revenge by his lewd behavior in front of crowds.
I saw Bobo as a kid. By then he was an adult and I thought a sad case. He seemed a malcontent in the glass cage. He would charge the glass, banging on it and scaring all the kids on the outside. I am sure his life was better when he was small and a novelty as in the photo vs. On display as the big scary gorilla.
