King Broadcasting is now owned by Tegna, a Virginia-based corporation formed after the media conglomerate Gannett announced in 2014 that it was separating its print publications from its broadcast properties. That’s a real shame. I’ve always greatly appreciated Northwest Cable News, and it made sense for King Broadcasting to have started it, since the company had stations in Seattle, Portland, Spokane and Boise to share resources.

NWCN was never given the High-Def treatment and didn’t look good on the new high-def tv sets. That could have been a clue.

NWCN was the “go to” news source when something happened! The other news media always had their pants down when a big story broke.
We lost a LOT with the loss of this 24 hr regional news channel!
