1976 Radio – The City Council & Human Sexuality

May 1976 – Commercial radio may have abandoned participatory government long ago but you can tune to KRAB and hear City Council meetings. June 10th the station plans to broadcast a full day 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. of the City Council as the city concludes its survey of the creation of Seattle’s energy policy for the next 14 years.
KISW’s Album Hour moves into uncharted realms with the selection tonight at midnight. Scheduled is the Alan Parsons Project, a special kind of record incorporating narratives of tales of mystery and imagination by Edgar Allan Poe, along with rock music. The Parsons in the title is a studio engineer who has helped produce a number of important rock groups.
Jack Bankson, general manager of KVI, is the new chairman of the board for the Washington State Association of Broadcasters.
A lecture series on human sexuality begins at 10 tonight KRAB Jennifer James, assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at the University of Washington is the first speaker in a symposium staged recently by the Seattle University’s Associaton of Women Students. She draws from her own remembered experiences as a student and from the experiences of young women whom she has counseled.
