The short-lived, original occupant of 95.7 in Seattle was part of a small group of FM stations owned by Bellingham broadcaster Rogan Jones to implement, demonstrate & make use of his newly developed automation system called ‘IGM’ (International Good Music). These stations had varying success & were sold off within a few years so that Jones could concentrate on his Bellingham & Wenatchee properties in addition to further development of the IGM system. The IGM system for all it’s advantages & flaws became a widely used tool throughout North America, particularly on fledgling FM stations where minimum economic investment was crucial to their success & development as a medium.
