A mentor to me in my early radio days. He couldn’t have been nicer!

The great Robert O was an excellent addition to “Rock 101” CFMI & then PD Tim Burge (now Pam Burge) had a good ear for air talent and a good grip on what I would have defined as ‘album-oriented adult contemporary’ a very unique take not unlike K-ZAM (#2) or KEZX here. I felt Robert O was a better fit as morning man at Fraser Valley-Vancouver ‘rimshotter’ 850 CKMA Abbotsford “850 Radio Max” that had a hybrid oldies approach using both top40 singles & album cuts. He sounded more relaxed & got plenty of room to entertain – his way. Robert O also was on air at Vancouver’s C-ISL 650 that had a classic hits/oldies format before returning to Puget Sound.
