My point is that College Place is not Berkely, even though they both have a college and both are near a bigger city.
It was probably more excitement than the town had scene in centuries. College Place home of Walla Walla College. A Seventh Day Adventist institution, at the time, almost all businesses closed on Friday afternoons and Saturdays.
That was then, as both Walla Walla and College Place grew, the town became more gentrified.
