…also 1230 KQTY Everett when these were all “Wally’s Cuties”
Jazz on Saturdays on the current 88.5 is all but gone with now just 3 hours of jazz programming – Abe Beeson’s excellent “The New Cool” at 3pm plus an hour of Latin jazz at 5. Otherwise, it’s all day talk on KNKX. At least, we still get 6 hours of blues on Saturday nights. Victor’s article lists “The Art of Jazz” on Saturdays. For a few decades now, this show has been heard on 88.5 Sundays at 3pm STILL hosted by the very knowledgable Ken Wylie.
