Thanks to Les Bagley for providing this info via his comment on our original post regarding Dennis’ passing, which I thought should be shared with all:

There will be a Celebration of Life for former Puget Sound and Tri-Cities newsman Dennis Shannon at noon, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Pasco Eagles Hall, 2829 W. Sylvester St.

Dennis passed away of natural causes in November. He had most recently spent a number of years at KONA in the Tri-Cities, but previously had been News Director at both KRKO and KWYZ in Everett, and had been with both KOMO Radio And Metro Traffic Control in Seattle before moving to the Tri-Cities.
