Bill Wolfenbarger’s Jodesha Broadcasting has finally been granted a construction permit for an new AM station to serve Aberdeen/Hoquiam/Grays Harbor after a long delay since the initial application. Originally applied for back in 2005, a number of technical hurdles involving protection to existing facilities on 1140 needed to be addressed. The new AM will operate with 5 kW days & 2.5 kW nights. The directional antenna pattern will be pointed northwest to the cities covered with a tight pattern that radiates westward. Congratulations to another “indie” broadcaster willing to gamble on an AM station!
