In looking through the image collection of the Northwest Room of the Tacoma Public Library, it appears that KMO was once located at
914 1/2 Broadway. However, the numbering of that street must have slightly changed over time...for KMO was supposedly in the Keyes Building on Broadway, which was 916-918 Broadway. Now the building at 916-918 Broadway was a theater, and the building occupying the area from 902-914 Broadway was also a theater. In fact the 902-914 area was the location of the Music Box Theater (known by two previous names) had a fire on April 30, 1963; this building had been constructed in 1890 and was demolished after the fire.
Below is a brief description of that building along with other businesses located there.
Keyes Bldg .

store bldg. by J.E. Bonnell & Sons, contr.)

You can find a photo of the building prior to its 1931 renovation here: http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/11388
This building was built in 1914 and demolished in 1988, which is when it was purchased and turned into a parking lot.
It could have served as the basic structure of the KMO building in Fife. It was definitely renovated by the 1960s; I remember that it was painted brown. They had an entrance on the west side of the building. It would have been located at approximately 4501 Pacific Highway.
I grew up not far from there.
