Each man’s life touches so many other lives

Don Imus’s contributions to radio over his long career were much greater than one gaffe, a comment about a women’s sports team. But today’s vicious, unforgiving, pack of social justice warriors has to crucify people, as tearing others down might make them feel better about themselves. Disliking Don Imus doesn’t detract from his accomplishments, nor does that comment he made, apologized for, and was forgiven for by the members of the sports team. The rest of the people need to let it go. They might feel a little lighter, a little less bitter. And so, life goes on. The rich will get richer, talent will continue to trounce mediocrity and haters will continue to hate the rich, the famous, the talented. I see them as George Bailey saw old Mr. Potter (It’s A Wonderful Life). In the whole vast configuration of things, I’d say they are nothing but scurvy little spiders! Spinning little webs and thinking the whole world must adhere to THEIR “moral code.”
