Word out of Portland has reached the QZVX 20/20 News room that legendary 91 KISN DJ Pat Pattee has passed away at age 81.  No other details are available at posting time. “The Preacher” ruled the Portland airwaves on “The Night Watch” midnight – 6am shift for many years at KISN. Except for a brief period in the early 70’s, Pat was on air at KISN from it’s inception in 1962 right up to the very end in 1976 when the station lost it’s license. Pat was a great entertainer who especially loved R&B.  Pat along with the other KISN ‘Good Guys’ were inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2018. More info once we receive it.

    David Hull says:

KCAP Helena Montana had a dj in the early 60’s by that name. I’m wondering if it was the same guy. His show was “The Leftbanke” and he was Pat Patee and his purple turntables”. Gotta be the same guy. Any info is appreciated.

    Wally Peel says:

Same Great Guy. Pat worked at KCAP in Helena in the early 60’s. In addition to the Left Bank Show, Pat was the station engineer. He had a great love for auto racing, and announced the stock car races at Valley Speedway every Saturday night during the summer.
