KIRO-TV VP & GM Greg Bilte retiring

TV News Check is reporting that Greg Bilte, VP & GM of KIRO-7 will be retiring from the Cox Media Group outlet effective June 30.  The station has not named a replacement yet.  Greg’s 41 year career in broadcasting began as an account executive for KXLY-AM/FM/TV  Spokane with stops along the way in Tulsa, San Fransisco & L.A.  During his time in Tulsa, Bilte and his team won multiple regional Edward R. Murrow awards, as well as a national Murrow award for Best Newscast.  He assumed the VP & GM positions with KIRO-TV in 2016.
