He mentioned my name on the air twice. First time on his last show on WJMK. The second time on WLS-AM/FM . Just think, my name on the big 89. my 15 minutes of fame.

I enjoyed listening to the entire 7:42 Dick Biondi-WCFL/1970! I listened to WCFL and WLS in the Mid-‘60s into the ‘70s, radio was so much fun to listen to. The Disk Jockeys, like Dick Biondi, brought so much energy to their programs. Some Disk Jockeys had their own fan following. Some of jingles for the commercials were pretty catchy. All the elements of ‘60s/‘70s radio made time fly listening to these wonderful personalities and the records they spun. Thanks for posting the WCFL Dick Biondi aircheck.

Better date: At 5:15 in this, Biondi does a tag to the ad for “Dr Frankenstein on Campus” (!) and says it is “starting ‘tomorrow’ at the McVickers Theater”. That movie started at that theater on June 3, 1970, so the aircheck must be from June 2, 1970.
