  • My memories of KIRO-7 News were from long ago. I think of John Marler, Gary Justice, Susan Hutchison, Wayne Cody, and Harry Wappler. If that lineup were miraculously brought back to KIRO News today, they would totally destroy all the other television station's ratings for local news. Just sayin'.

    • Excellent point. Personally, I miss the KING 5 news & editorial lineup with Jean Enerson & Charles Royer, in the Dorithy Bullitt era. - Bruce Scholten

    • It seems a weird life, this news reporter on TV gig!...It is like, "Have Paycheck, will travel"!..I have seen a few of our recently departed newer local reporters, that have landed much higher profile jobs, frequently with the networks...but it seems that you have to get out of the Seattle area to make good in this business...either that, or take some sort of public affairs role for a company, if you wanna stay in this area...this constant relocating must be hell on one's personal life!
