Jason, there’s a terrific video memorial tribute to Jerry Kaye… ‘The nice man on the radio’ that Pat, Lan Roberts, Tom Murphy, Big Jim Martin and others did a few years back on Jerry’s passing. It was a story telling bone splitter! It was on Facebook at one point. Would be a great addition to qzvx!
I remember the video, but unfortunately cannot find it online.
KIRO has recognized quite a few of the areas veteran personalities, through interviews and stories from historian Feliks Banel.
By the way… we now have three Erik Lacitis columns at PSM. This one, then yesterday I posted one on Pat from the 1980s. And back in April I posted an old one about Tom Murphy and Michael Mates who helped on the ‘World Famous’ show.
Better to be Hardly Famous than Famous in your own Mind….lots of that in radio.
Nice article. I see he spoke with World Famous and Jason.
Yeah, World Famous and Hardly Famous
