A series of radio station jingles from Eastern Washington/Idaho, circa 1957-1958. This was unearthed by WFMU.org. “These jingles may or may not have ever seen the light of day on any radio stations. The box makes it clear that these are demos, labeling them as “audition only” in two places. It looks like a company called SRP was responsible for them.”

The stations are: KRLC Lewiston Id-Clarkston, Wa, KYTE Pocatello, Id, KIMA 980 Yakima, and KZUN 630 Spokane.

There is also an ad for a cable TV company bringing viewers a whopping 4 (four) tv channels!

    Dick Ellingson says:

Nice!! Thanks, Jason. Good jingles = happy listeners!! I remember those radio days and I still sing those jingles from the forties and fifties and sixties and seventies.

Now if you wonder where you are, well you’re better off by far, on K-J-R Seattle.

D-U-Z, D-U-Z, put Duz in your washing machine, clothes come out so nice and clean, you’ll be happy and you’ll sing, “D-U-Z does everything!”

    This is San Antonio Action Radio, W-O-A-I, 12 double O, 12 double O, 12 double O!

Just fill your pipe with old P. A. and take a puff or two, you’ll love that extra smoking joy Prince Albert brings to you.

KGO San Francisco, for music and news radio 81.
KOMO Seattle, for music and news, 1 triple O.

You’ll wonder where the yellow went, when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent!

This is 1380, first in Everett, K-R-K-O!
This is radio 1300 Seattle, K-O-L!

You’ve got to accentuate the audio, eliminate the video, stay tuned to Cutie Radio, don’t mess with Mister In-Between.

    Radio was fun.
