A former KIRO employee I know left in 2020 because she was confident she would be “aged out” by management. As looks fade and salaries rise it becomes an insurmountable equation in the visual media. For an industry that prides themselves as justice advocates they certainly do their fair share of discrimination based on age, appearance, and salary.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Alison a few weeks ago (a personal outing for each of us).
