Olivia LaVoice Guests on Brandi Kruse Podcast

Olivia LaVoice
We told you on November 19th that Olivia LaVoice was leaving KCPQ FOX 13. Originally assigned to unsolved crimes, LaVoice is just one of many heading for the exit at the station. Lately, her assignments at KCPQ have been in general field reporting. LaVoice is looking for a new gig specifically focusing on unsolved crimes and will also be starting a podcast on the subject soon.
In the meantime, Olivia LaVoice appeared on Brandi Kruse’s UnDivided podcast/vidcast last week to discuss the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax. Smollett could face up to three years in prison for the big lie, but it is LaVoice’s opinion that since Smollett has no prior convictions, he will walk free.

Another possible record-breaker leaves KPLZ at the end of this month. After more than 30 years as Music Director at KPLZ, Alisa Hashimoto will be leaving the station. What other MD has come close to such longevity at one station? Anybody? Maybe KVI’s “music librarian” Crazy Legs Drake. We will have to look into that.
KPLZ is currently running the annual Santa FM Christmas music. Perfect timing for a format change, and KPLZ is the station most likely to do so, with Lotus making changes in personnel, as previously announced.
Programmer Mike Abrams has been hired as Regional Director of Programming overseeing the Lotus stations in Bakersfield and Seattle.
Kent Phillips leaves KPLZ at the end of this month, after 35 years with KPLZ. MIX 106 KCIX/Boise morning team of John Moug and Angie Morales join the on-air staff at KPLZ STAR 101.5 in January.
The tea leaves read that a change in format is in the future for KPLZ, possibly as soon as the new year.
Mr. Haney
Another casualty of voice-tracking, is Matt Case, formerly with 95.7 The Jet (KJR-FM). Fired in October of this year, and replaced with a DJ named Robin Rock, of WLIT Chicago, Case is on the beach and can be heard guesting in crypto currency related podcasts. Case is a promoter of the cyber coins and is also hyping Metaverse real estate. What is Metaverse real estate? That is the purchase of virtual land on Metaverse platforms, such as your child’s Roblox game. Lots available range from a few dollars to tens of thousands of dollars each.
Investors are giving real money for these virtual lots and selling them to others interested in the emerging technology. There are YouTube videos that explain it all.
Just think about it. For a few thousand real American dollars, you can buy 20 acres of ones and zeros and build a stadium for your fantasy football team.
If all that doesn’t excite you, Mr. Haney probably has something on his truck to interest you.

The voz and I have similar interests. She likes digging into a cold case and I enjoy digging into a cold six pack.
