Jeff,
Attached is a pdf of an article about my Dad and his radio program. This article from the Seattle Times is dated February 16, 1964. I have my Dad’s notebooks in which he kept all his narratives, typed for each program. You are correct, the earliest typed notes are from October, 1956 when he was at the Renton station, KLAN. . Thanks again for your interest in digitizing these reel to reel tapes. Different family members over the years have kept a few reels as souvenirs but most of us didn’t have a player so thanks for bringing these programs back to life. If there is any other information I can provide, let me know.
Bob Smith
