Everett Fitzhugh is the first broadcast announcer for the Seattle Kraken and the only Black play by play broadcaster in the history of the NHL. On Thursday Fitz hosted the NHL’s first-ever all-Black television broadcast, taking place when the Seattle Kraken faced the Winnipeg Jets. Fitzhugh is usually the Kraken’s radio play-by-play announcer, and was joined by JT Brown, a regular Kraken analyst, on the TV side, ROOT SPORTS.
Kraken radio broadcasts are heard on 950 KJR.
