  • Carl Seidel was a great man.

I helped out for a few months in early 71 with the Project 13 television show.

Project 13 was tied into the Washington employment department to showcase talented folks seeking work. A long drive from Lynnwood to Tacoma, but I learned a lot about television, basic production switching, camera work, etc.

I can't recall the name of the General Manager, but he was also the voice of Safeway back then. He covered my gas expense, had pizza and other food for us and every night I got loaded up with records, tapes and other fun swag.
