My morning routine was disturbed today by the most annoying sound. Our teen daughter was listening to the Brooke & Jeffrey show on Movin’ 92.5 KQMV. The volume was much too high, and the content of the program was inane, scripted sketch material played out by actors on the phone and an in-studio crew. It’s a typical morning zoo-type of program, with a group that includes one called Hilarious Jose. Even for just a short segment that they call 2nd Date Update, the cackling of his laughter (and who really says “Tee Hee Hee” when they laugh?) was hurting my teeth.
Forced laughter is worse than a sitcom laugh-track.
