They need to bring that station back. Put talk radio on AM where it belongs. music on FM. Put sports on 770am, talk on 710 and KBSG back on 97.3. Conservo talk on internet stream or HD 2. Done.

His voice is much deeper actually and not so rushed sounding in all they years many listened to him. maybe redo post after some simple audio adjustment. Great find this is by the way!

I think we will be receiving airchecks from Mark and can replace this aircheck in time, rather than attempting to do audio processing.

QZVX tech wizard, Steven Smith, corrected the issue with the speed on this aircheck. (I do hear the difference)
Thank you, Steven. You are amazing!

First off, I want to thank you for posting this. I found it sometime in 2023, but then it seemed to disappear. I’m glad that it’s back on here and speed corrected. This brought back a lot of memories when I found it 2 years ago. This station was a vital part of my life from around mid 2005 to 2007. Little did I know that it would end shortly after in 2008. It was the summer of 2005 and we had just moved from the city to a small town (20 years ago). All of a sudden this oldies station entered my life. This is what got me deeply into music, particularly the ‘60s and ‘70s. I couldn’t get enough of this station and its vast library of classic rock, soul, and pop. I would listen to KBSG after school and I would also sleep and wake up to it. It definitely bummed me out when I found out this became a talk station. There would be other good stations I found after this one, but none of them quite recaptured that feeling I got from listening to 97.3. Even though it has been gone for 17 years, I find myself still chasing that high.

Being that now is my cognitive 20 year anniversary with 97.3, I was wondering if you had any more unedited airchecks from the 2nd half of 2005 into 2007? These are like a musical time machine that lets me relive my childhood. I would seriously even pay for more of these. I hope you read this, and once again, thanks for the memories.
