Name the station ownership group (Tegna, Tribune, Sinclair, Fox, Cox, ABC, NBC, CBS etc), they all have a political agenda. People have become blinded by their own political views.
Chris was basically the last quality reporter standing at KING after the 2017 buyouts took Byron, Brill and others, and the more recent departures of Elisa Hahn, Michael Konaposek, Alex Rozier, Ted Land, Glenn Farley, Amy Moreno and more. He is trading terrible Tegna for the scurrilous Sinclair. Hard to know if his built-in integrity will ultimately be able to withstand the managerial and political-agendized pressure that will come at that company with mid-terms and the 2024 campaign. And he has seen closeup what Sinclair has done to the once strong KOMO. Yes, he gets a national platform, but it could be a costly reputational gamble in the end. Will be interesting to watch unfold.
