THE DESK reports: Nexstar Media Group says it will move CW Network programming to three new television stations in Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh and Seattle, starting next month. On Thursday, Nexstar said it had extended an agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group that renews affiliation agreements for CW Network programming on television stations in 35 markets, including 10 markets where Sinclair operates a TV station on behalf of another company. The deal has Nexstar moving its CW Network programming to a digital sub-channel of KOMO-TV (Channel 4) in Seattle. KOMO is a full-time ABC affiliate.

…Earlier report was that CW was moving to KONG 16.

    John Fortmeyer says:

As you know, KSTW has for years now been promoted as “CW 11.” So…. since this is on a subchannel, how will Sinclair promote this change to the Puget Sound area….. “CW 4.2” ? “Or simply “Seattle’s CW” ? (Down here in Oregon, Salem-licensed but Portland-based KRCW Channel 32, which is part of a Nexstar-owned duopoly with Portland-licensed-and-based KOIN 6, simply calls itself “Portland’s CW” without any reference to over-the-air or cable channel).

Even less likely to show up on the streaming services like YouTubeTV or others.

    Kento says:

I don’t like the way the CW Network is set up now. They put it on 4.2, which is Comet, and they put CW part time. Also, it is no longer in HD, they are going to have sports on CW. It doesn’t make sense!!!!
