SRN News at the top of the hour, followed by Christian music. You just picture the bespectacled, elderly woman at the organ. Other selections are vocals. These are the old stand-bys, not the new-age stuff. This is the old-time presentation of gospel music and sermons.
In tonight’s episode of UNSHACKLED, Mom leaves Dad for Mr. Stanley, an alcoholic she met at work. He promises to leave his wife. He is drunk all the time. The daughters stop going to church, take up partying, alcohol, marijuana, and take chances like hitch-hiking. Unshackled! is a radio drama series produced by Pacific Garden Mission, in Chicago, Illinois, that first aired on September 23, 1950.
