Michael battled cancer fiercely and defiantly for the last year and like so many we are grieving the loss of a stellar husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Michael loved deeply and I see his spirit every time I look at the faces of our three children.
As he ordered, I will look for in any wink or thunderstorm.
Thank you for the love and support over these last few weeks. Michael knew he was leaving us in the good hands of a loving family and caring community.
I love you Michael. Now and forever.”
On the KOMO website, Kelly posted a story about this tragedy. “I loved Michael for 19 years. Three months after our third child was born, he was diagnosed with stage IV squamous cell carcinoma.” (Read more at KOMO4)

I watched Kelly’s video on Youtube a few nights ago. It was hard to watch. My heart goes out to her. I know she has a strong support system in place but that doesn’t bring back the one person who is gone from her life forever and she needs the most. I can’t imagine being a Mom of 3 under the age of 10 and trying to stay brave and carry on. Sure, I know people do it all the time but regardless, it was still hard to watch her talk about her loss.
I have no idea what to say except thank you for posting this, Lou.
