From Channel 2 Action News WSB/Atlanta, Brian Monahan fills in at KIRO 7. Weather today, maybe anchoring later in the week. KIRO is trying to patch together a news channel after firing and laying off some of the brightest and best. Monahan worked at KIRO 7 a few years back as weekend and midday meteorologist. He seemed a little unsettled this morning, but he is a pro and could be an asset if KIRO hires him back….. KIRO Newsradio has hired Frank Lenzi as its new News Director. Frank joins KIRO from KNWN 1000/97.7 FM. Lenzi spent the past 16 years at KOMO AM and KNWN as it is now called. Lenzi most recently served as KNWN Program Director, and News Director. Lenzi takes over for Charlie Harger (another KNWN alumni) who now takes over the KIRO Morning News host position, vacated this month by Dave Ross.

KIRO 7 (COX MEDIA); KIRO FM (BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL)
