Root Sports change-ups, Audacy expansion

JIM MOORE reports in the Tacoma News Tribune: Aaron Goldsmith will be the every-day lead announcer for ROOT Sports with Angie Mentink joining him as the main color analyst. Former Mariners Ryan Rowland-Smith, Dave Valle and Jay Buhner will also be on the telecasts from time to time as analysts. On the radio side, Rick Rizzs remains as the play-by-play man, and Gary Hill will be his primary partner.

Audacy (Formerly Entercom) has launched a syndication arm called Infinity Networks with two shows on tap out of the gate. Country shows “Katie & Company” and “The Rob & Holly Show” will be followed by other similar programs from various Audacy-owned channels.

    I haven’t listened to a radio broadcast and probably 4 years and when he started being the play-by-play with Rick I turned them off I can’t stand the guy he should stay a radio engineer and stay off the air
