KETO AM is sold to AM-COM Inc., headed by Riley Gibson, a California broadcaster. He promises no change in the concert music format, now beginning its third year.
Chem-Air, Inc., owned by W.E. Boeing Jr., will continue to operate KETO FM. That station continues expansion plans, including boosting power to 200,000 watts in January, moving the studio to the Cougar Mountain transmitter site and adding the American FM Network (ABC FM)

ROBERT COOPER, KOL GM, has announced a major shakeup in air personalities. DICK CURTIS is the new Program Director.
DICK HAASE joins KOL from Toronto, using the name JEFF BOEING. Haase/Boeing works the noon shift.
GARY TODD, from Sacramento, is the new KOL Promotions Director and morning man.

Robin Mitchell must have blushed psychedlic pink the other day when he made one of those contest calls: “Oh, I’m sorry, sir. If you had answered your phone “KOL,” you would have won many dollars.”
“Wait, I can’t hear you–I’ll have to turn my TV down.”

KAYO began their “Star Walk” outside the radio station. First hand prints in the cement included Faron Young, Sonny James and Bill Anderson — and Buck Ritchey!
