    Shouldn’t leave out Sheriff Tex (KING); Gardner’s Garage, and singing cowboy Cliff Carl (KOMO); and 1954’s Dandy Time (KTNT); all of which preceded the better-known luminaries who captivated youngsters in the halcyon 1950s and early ’60s.
