John Sattgast, Capitol reporter in Olympia, has transferred many reels of audio tape to digital form and shares some of it on SoundCloud. Some reports that he recorded for CBS radio news and also a story picked up by Paul Harvey. He is just beginning to build the online collection, but there are some good clips there already. https://soundcloud.com/sattgast-audio

I think it is important to share such recordings online. This is history and might even be used in someone’s research someday, little sound bites that otherwise would not be available.
