KRON 4 today announced that Chris Flynn has been named Vice President and General Manager of its San Francisco operations. KRON-TV is owned and operated by Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Flynn will be responsible for overseeing KRON4 (CW), KRON4.com, and KRON4+, the Bay Area’s first local 24-hour digital streaming news platform, as well as KRON’s other digital platforms. Flynn will begin his new duties immediately and report to Matthew Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar’s broadcasting division.
Most recently, Flynn served as VP/Director of Sales for Effectv in the San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey region, leading local and regional teams in building multimillion-dollar revenue strategies across multiple platforms. Prior to that, Flynn held senior sales leadership roles at CBS Television (KPIX/KBCW), and earlier served as General Sales Manager at KOFY-TV.
