On May 8th, 1945, Americans listened as a long awaited announcement reached them over the airwaves: Nazi Germany had surrendered to the Allies, ending World War II across the Atlantic. On the anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, this program takes us back in time to hear what American radio sounded like at that joyous and somber moment in history.
