November 19, 1999– Bob Dearborn has retired from 880 KIXI-AM due to a family emergency, as confirmed by Suzanne Gregory, assistant to the station’s general manager. Dearborn, who hosted a weekday show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is relocating to Ontario, Canada, to be near his ailing parents. Gregory noted that the decision was tough for Dearborn, who deeply loved his job. Dearborn joined KIXI-AM in 1994 as a program director, music director, and on-air personality. Dan Murphy, Dearborn’s assistant, is temporarily filling in until a permanent replacement is found.

Here are a couple airchecks of Dearborn on KIXI in March 1996: https://youtu.be/alw_adX88hA and https://youtu.be/pALaDhP8d3M.
Always good stuff from Ellis B. Feaster. Thanks for pointing these out.
Glad you enjoyed them. I was a huge fan of Bob. I would often listen to him as soon as I would get 0ff the air across town as K106 KRPM.
I worked at KRPM for a period, during the Ray Court days. Also did some time at KJUN/Puyallup prior to and during Court's ownership of that station.
