Any bets on when she gets fired?

I agree with what she says. I think most of us do. By the way, iHeart has begun their most recent season of lay-offs.
I was checking the Detroit Free Press (The Freep) for game day playoff weather (short rain delay) and came across this guide, freely downloadable for everyone who loves and honors precise writing and writers. If you're on this forum, this is for you.

PDF is now saved to my desktop; Google your grammar and spelling questions. We used to have 24 encyclopedias, a book on grammar, a medical dictionary and Webster's dictionary on the bookcase at home. Nothing wrong with that, but finding the answer is much easier now.
Real books in a bookcase are comforting. Different viewpoints sharing space without conflict.
NEW YORK (AP) — Paramount, which released all but one of the Bob Hope/Bing Crosby "Road" pictures, and now owns CBS News, says it believes the country longs for news that is balanced and fact-based.

Is she going to clean the CBS swamp? Is Elon being recruited to find the waste and fraud? More fraud than waste, no doubt.
(April 2017) J. Michael Kenyon, one of Seattle’s legendary sportswriters and a longtime local wrestling historian, M.C. and promoter, died April 26 at age 73. Kenyon, who was born Michael Glover and grew up in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle, suffered from congestive heart failure. In 1980, Kenyon was the city’s second sports talk show host on KVI AM 570. Kenyon also worked for KING radio, the Yakima Morning Herald, Tacoma’s News Tribune, the Hollywood Citizen-News and the Baltimore Sun, among other outlets. (KIRO NEWS)
Interesting name for a cop. Article from Tacoma News Tribune, January 15, 1968.
Bakery Reports Loss
Burglars removed a skylight to gain entry to Mack's Bakery, 8518 South Tacoma Way, and to steal an undetermined amount of money, beer, wine and cigarettes, Deputy Sheriff Robert Crookshank reported Monday.
"Mickey" Hargitay (January 6, 1926 – September 14, 2006) was a Hungarian-American actor and bodybuilder.
Born in Budapest, Hargitay emigrated as a young man of 21 to the United States in 1947. Known as "Mickey", he eventually became a naturalized American citizen. He became known as a competitive bodybuilder, helping popularize the sport and winning Mr. Universe in 1955. His bodybuilding gave him an entree to acting.
In 1958, Hargitay married actress Jayne Mansfield. During their marriage, Hargitay and Mansfield made four movies together: Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957), The Loves of Hercules (1960), Promises! Promises! (1963), and Primitive Love (1964). The couple were estranged by the time Mansfield gave birth to actress Mariska Hargitay in 1964. Mariska believed herself to be Hargitay's daughter before learning at age 25 that her biological father was singer Nelson Sardelli. (info from Wkipedia)
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, Friday, Dec. 31, 1965
(UPI) Los Angeles, Dec.30 -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of actor Mickey Hargitay, 37, for failure to appear in a court on a child support matter.
Almost took my two-year old Canon (wireless) printer out back to smash it with a bat. This was the third time the dang thing would not connect to the home network since I purchased it. The Canon website was no help. Volumes of info that had me going in circles. Time spent on trying to get this working: close to 7 hours. In the last 10 minutes of that time, I finally accessed a Youtube video, posted by an average tech with a video camera. In his three minute video, he explained step-by-step how to solve that particular issue with the model printer I have and where to download the app that will control the printer direct from my smart phone. I should have checked Youtube first thing.
WAPO reports National Weather Service at ‘breaking point’, makes up new verb to illustrate the severity of the problem, and uses it in a sentence: "Finding and onboarding new forecasters will take significant time . . ."
How does significant time differ from insignificant time?
Fortunately, my 45+ year old Radio Shack Realistic "Weatheradio" is still broadcasting: High today 86, low tonight 51 with patchy smoke!
How is patchy smoke different from Navajo smoke?
Real genuine patchy smoke can only come from a fire in a briar patch. Br'er Rabbit, after spending a long day outwitting larger animals, gets home, lights his pipe, sets it down for just a minute and falls asleep. Hey, we've all done it.
I don't think you will find a copy of Br'er Rabbit in the bookstore these days.

Associated Press reports that Major League Baseball will use robot umpires next season. Humans will still call balls and strikes. No word on who/which will dust off the plate.
A baseball umpire's job is to officiate the game by enforcing the rules and making impartial decisions on plays, ensuring fair play and maintaining order. Umpires are responsible for calling balls and strikes, outs and safes, fair or foul balls, and for monitoring player behavior. They must have a deep knowledge of the rules, maintain composure under pressure, and possess keen vision and communication skills to manage the game effectively.
Kamala Harris, speaking on Maddow/MSDNC. Describing Trump as a “dictator” and “tyrant.” Says “we must fight fire with fire.” Dangerous rhetoric at any time, but 12 days after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, ghoulish by both host and guest. Just shocking irresponsibility. Harris' political career is OVER anyway. Perhaps she will land a gig on MSNOW next year.
