I wonder where that old KVI transmitter site, described in the FCC history cards only as “near Des Moines,” was actually located.

Things change so much over the years. I don’t know the location of the Des Moines site for KVI, but I know exactly where the KTBI studios and tower were, at Center & Pine in Tacoma. I have seen the pictures. Now, you wouldn’t know that a building or a tower had ever been there. Overgrown bushes and little else.
