Warren Saunders, veteran Seattle radio personality, will join KOMO radio today as the station becomes an ABC affiliate and launches its “bright new sound on Puget Sound” policy.
Along with Bruce Vanderhoof, Dick Wahl, Dave Robinson and several other KOMO staff members, Saunders will provide listeners with a sampling of the station’s new concept in programming beginning at 915 o’clock. The “sampler” will continue until one o’clock.
Regularly scheduled from 2 to 6 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, “Saunders till six” will spotlight modern music with the accent on familiar, listenable tunes.
Known for his low-key conversational style as much as for his knowledge of music, Saunders began his radio career in Vancouver, BC. He has been an announcer and disc jockey for several Seattle stations, as well as in New Hampshire, New York and his native Boston.
