Bruce Cannon hung up the headphones after nearly a decade at KTAC, taking a position as an account exec at Entercom/Tacoma. Cannon estimated that in his 3000 days at the board he had played approximately 144,000 records and 120,000 commercials. [That’s a heavy commercial load] And that advertisers had spent over $3 million in advertising on his afternoon air shift…Cannon also hosted a weekly TV show, Life In The Fastlane. It aired on Channel 11. It was a community-oriented interview program focused on teenagers… A new Pacific Stereo electronics store opened near the Tacoma Mall. Fabulous prizes were given away, including a night on the town with a KTAC DJ, dinner and a major concert. All transportation provided by KTAC.
