Lauren Helmbrecht joined FOX 13 Seattle in this week as a freelance sports reporter and anchor. Prior to Seattle, Lauren worked for WFRV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she was the station’s Green Bay Packers beat reporter for three seasons. She covered the 2025 NFL Draft, Aaron Rodgers’ departure from Wisconsin, Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers games, and college and high school sports across Northeast Wisconsin.
She started her sports career as a production assistant for NFL Films, where she was nominated for an Emmy for her work on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
Lauren grew up in Spokane and attended Gonzaga Preparatory School.
