A definite DEI hire, Julian Glover, was let go from ABC 7/KGO San Francisco. Issues between Glover and other employees had developed and Glover was suspended for a few weeks. Talks between ABC7 and Glover came to his resignation/dismissal. Glover was confrontational, a trouble maker according to sources speaking to Rich Lieberman (415 Media). A lot of the behavior issues were racially charged, Glover, fire-starter, played the victim. When you hire based on race, there may be tension in the newsroom as personalities clash and the race card is being played by a so-called victim. Bad choice made by Disney and they may think twice before using DEI criteria again.

Glover just now this week makes public his ouster from KGO 7/San Francisco. We mentioned his pending exit in September. There were allegations and disputes among the staff. This was due to bullying and intimidation tactics by Glover. I thought bullying was cause for dismissal in most employment scenarios. But when potential charges of “RACISM!” can be weaponized, these things take time.
Hiring should be based on merit
