Between KDUX and KXRO I worked in the grocery store in Ocean Shores stocking shelves. Pat and his wife and two girls were in the store and checked out with a large amount of groceries. I helped carry them out to his car. On the 30 seconds of carrying bags of groceries I heard Pat break into a couple measures of "Love Letters in the Sand". They stayed at the Polynesian Motel during the classic.

My sister was the typical 1950s teen girl, crushing on Jimmy Clanton and Pat Boone. One single I heard endlessly was WELCOME, NEW LOVERS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VUh1oMCFL4
The flip-side was WORDS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdeZCVD70eg
Those are my favorites by Boone.
Pat Boone is 91. He's living life right, obviously.
I didn't realize that Pat had risen.
