April 26 – After naming a new morning host (former KISS-FM WXSS-FM 103.7 Milwaukee DJ Pat Clark), Movin KQMV 92.5 will run morning drive without a co-host…Pat Cashman has left KRKO AM 1380/Everett.
April 20 – Clear Channel Communications, Inc. has announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Television Group to Providence Equity Partners Inc. The sale, valued at approximately $1.2 billion, includes 56 television stations located in 24 markets across the United States and includes KVOS 12 Bellingham…The FCC has granted a construction permit to Jodesha Broadcasting Inc. to increase power for KJET 105.7 Raymond. The transmitter will relocate just south of Aberdeen.
April 18 – Tom Clendening has been appointed program director of KKOL 1300 effective immediately. He had been PD at KIRO & KTTH up until February and has served as director of talk programming for Jones Radio Networks in Seattle.
April 17 – All Access Music Group (sign-up service) reports that APD/p.m. drive host Rob “The Possum” Walker will become PD of KKWF 100.7 The Wolf. He has been programming the station since former PD Scott Mahalick moved to that same position at Entercom’s KBWF 95.7/San Francisco.
April 13 – Long time KSL 1160/Salt Lake City programmer Rod Arquette will take over the reins as PD of Bonneville International Corporation’s newly acquired KIRO 710 and KTTH 770, replacing Tom Clendening, who left in February.

April 5 – Radio & Records reports that KLKI 1340/Anacortes has been purchased by Jennifer and Robert Uteda from Berry Entertainment for $760,000.
April 4 – Tom Petty s The Last DJ marked the final sign-off of Q-104 KMCQ-FM 104.5 The Dalles OR after 39 years of broadcasting. Last September the FCC granted construction permits to change the frequencies of KASB-FM 89.3 Bellevue to 89.9 and KMIH-FM 104.5 Mercer Island to 88.9 to facilitate the move-in of KMCQ to Covington. Additionally, KGHP-FM 89.3 Gig Harbor has moved its translator to 93.7.
April 3 – Former KOMO-TV/4 Seattle reporter/anchor John Seigenthaler leaves NBC after 11 years. Seattle P-I
