May 30 – Leslie Miller signs off her last newscast after six years as anchor at Q-13 KCPQ amid rumors that she will resurface at KIRO 7.
As Senator Maria Cantwell announced proposed legislation to protect student-run station KMIH-FM 104.5 Mercer Island, the FCC has given the nod to KMCQ-FM 104.5 The Dalles, OR to move to Covington, WA. The move, which likely will be dalayed by appeals, also would involve frequency changes of several other WA and OR stations and result in the shut down of KMIH.

May 28 – Q 13 KCPQ reporter and weekend anchor Peter Alexander is leaving Seattle to become a national correspondent for NBC News.
KING-FM 98.1 Seattle went dark for several hours yesterday morning due to a power supply failure at its Lower Queen Anne building.

May 27 – KHCV Channel 45 Seattle has been off air for a few days due to a rain water leak into a high voltage power supply. The station is expected back this afternoon.
Delilah is expected to stay at Warm KRWM-FM 106.9 after the switch to Premiere Radio Networks, but could end up moving to another station.

May 21 – KIRO AM 710 Seattle talk show host Dave Ross has made it official by announcing he will run for Congress, but will remain on air until July.

May 13 – The new five-year contract for Kent and Alan at Star 101.5 KPLZ-FM Seattle extends the longest one-station tenure for a morning show in the market.

May 5 – The FCC has accepted for filing application by Bates Technical College to increase the effective radiated power of KXOT-FM 91.7 Tacoma from 7.9 kW to 39 kW. The station was sold in March to Public Radio Capitol and entered into an agreement to broadcast the content of KEXP-FM 90.3 Seattle.

May 3 – TBN station KTBW-DT/14 Tacoma has returned to the air after about three weeks due to power failure damage to the station’s digital transmitter. It’s analog signal on channel 20 was not affected by the outage.
