1930 – Request of two Seattle broadcasting stations and of KUJ in Longview for new frequency assignments, were acted upon yesterday by the Federal Radio Commission at Washington DC. Denial of an application by station KJR of Seattle for a rehearing of the order shifting it from 970 kilocycles frequency to 760 was entered by the Federal Radio Commission today. KJR is wanting to retain its old position. The Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia issued a stay order which allows it, for the present, to remain an operation on 970. Station KXA Seattle has asked permission to increase power from 500 watts to 1 kilowatt and release from limitation as to interference with KUOM. KUJ of Longview was granted renewal of license on 1500 kilocycles with power of 500 watts.
