New CBS news anchor promises transparency

Tony Dokoupil, taking over the anchor desk at CBS Evening News on January 5, talks about the TRUTH. The TRUTH that has been ignored by CBS and the rest of MSM.

Succeeding co-anchors Maurice DuBois and John Dickerson, Dokoupil, previously a co-host of CBS Mornings, aims to build trust by focusing on transparency and average Americans’ perspectives in the network’s flagship nightly broadcast.

People don’t trust the mainstream media and are turning to alternate news sources. X will often update you before you see it on news aggregators and some of the established news networks.

….Dokoupil’s official Monday night debut on CBS Evening News pulled in 4.463 million total viewers and 609,000 in the key 25-54 demo. While that is slightly higher than its recent average, it is also down 22% overall and 24% in the demo compared to last year on the same day.

(This is the same guy who had the risible gall to say, “We’ll be more accountable and more transparent than Cronkite or anyone else of his era.”

More chaos at CBS Evening News as producer fired just days into Tony Dokoupil’s ‘embarrassing’ tenure. Javier Guzman, who has been the program’s senior broadcast producer since August, was dismissed after Wednesday night’s broadcast.

The producer should have had it together, but obviously did not. He was a newbie there. See your way out, Javier.

    Bill Taylor says:

The original plan for Dokoupil was to make his anchoring debut tonight with a two-week tour of American cities. However, Dokoupil is expected to anchor tonight’s newscast from New York and the American tour will kick off at a later time.

    Jason Remington says:

Tony Dokoupil anchored his first Evening News report days early, due to US intervention in Venezuela. I felt he presented a factual report with no hint of bias.
