THIS WEEK: An Auburn, Washington mother was irate upon learning that her daughter’s middle school (Olymic Middle school) permitted their students to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during school hours.
Hundreds of students from Auburn Riverside High School, Auburn Mountainview High School, and Auburn High School all left class during fifth period on Friday and went outside with signs to protest ICE. They then either walked or drove to Auburn City Hall to gather.
In Seattle, a camera on the University of Washington campus showed students gathering in Red Square as part of their protest.
In Lynnwood, students gathered outside of Lynnwood High School with signs along nearby streets.
Students from a number of other Western Washington communities held walkouts and protests as well.
