Today: KGY FM line-up

Just an update on who’s on second at KGY FM. The station pivoted to a syndicated morning show sometime back, Ashley & Brad. Honestly, these husband/wife morning shows sound like the couple you want to avoid at the dinner party. These are the ones who use Facebook and Instagram for STATUS. Their life is soooo much better than yours. Not to say the program is unlistenable, but LIVE & LOCAL always beats syndication.

Enough whining, already!

The remainder of the broadcast day features local talent: Dave Cowan – with the More Music Workday, and Kevin The Brit, Driving You Home.
There are a few good canned programs, M.G. Kelly on the weekend and Kraken games when they happen.
We must give the people at KGY Media Group credit for keeping the KGY call letters alive, at least in memoriam. The station operates on KYYO FM’s HD 2 and an FM translator. KGY needs a LIVE & LOCAL all-night Oldies show on Saturday night and maybe a local Oldies show on Sunday, at a time when it would not be pre-empted by a sportscast. Move the syndication to daytime hours. Money is the driving factor behind any programming decision, but we are just making a wish-list here.
