VICTOR STREDICKE – March 8, 1987
Whodunits are the rage at resorts, hotels and fund-raising parties. Here’s a chance to wallow in a murder mystery without ever leaving your home. The talk show “PM Tacoma” will offer a live broadcast of a murder mystery staged at the Tacoma Sheraton, from 7-9 p.m. tomorrow on KTAC, 850 kHz
The event, trimmed just a bit to fit “PM Tacoma’s” two-hour bloc, will feature Tacoma VIPs as actors. It is staged by Solstice Performance Arts, a group which does similar events at resorts and private parties.
Art Popham, radio host, said at an intermission _ actually the cocktail hour for participants at the hotel _ listeners can call in to ask questions of the suspects.
“I have been assured that the event translates quite well into a radio show,” Popham said.
(The Tacoma station’s signal does not extend into Seattle’s North End.)
HELLO THERE, COMRADE
A week of Moscow broadcasts by Bill Yeend, Dave Ross and Vic Bremer begins from 6-9:30 a.m. tomorrow on KIRO, 710 kHz. Regular early-morning features will be blended with the long-distance taped reports and live interviews.
